Kathy: Love is a commitment that goes beyond feelings that wax and wane like the tides. When you stand firmly on the commitment you’ve made, it stems those tides and keeps you together in the deep.

Shannon: Love is choosing the person over the offense, seeing the potential over the failure and recognizing that someone is worth the investment.

Shane: A person who is kind, loyal and faithful. Without that foundation, a relationship would be difficult.

Adam: My favorite description of the word love can be found in the movie Wedding Crashers: True love is your soul’s recognition of its counterpoint in another.

Karla: Loving even though they do not deserve it.

Jordan: Half-priced beer and wings.

Jackson: What is love? ... Baby don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me... no more!

Emily: Be accepting of others' differences and accepting people for who they are. You never know what their background story is.

Sydney: Love is a decision. It is about putting in an effort when you don’t feel like it. It is a mature commitment that doesn’t rely on lovey-dovey feelings.

Sadie: I don’t think anyone can truly describe it. That’s why literature, music, art, and cinema continue to be dedicated to themes surrounding it and it just never gets old.

Tara: An open-door bathroom policy.

Erin: Love is doing what is best for someone, even when it is not what is best for you.

Amanda: Looking out for the best interest of someone else.

Brittany: Love is the act of sacrificing for, and serving, someone you care about without expecting anything in return and wanting the very best for them no matter what.

Wayne: Sacrifice.
