The winter months can seem long and harsh, but thanks to the concept of “comfort food,” they don’t have to be entirely miserable. In fact, with the right combination of cheese, butter, bread and cream, winter evenings can become some of the coziest in the calendar year. Comfort food is like an electric blanket for the soul, especially after a long day out in the harsh cold. 

So, put on some fuzzy socks, uncork a bottle of red wine, and throw some butter in the skillet for one of these to-die-for comfort dishes.
