Old School Bagel Cafe

$ (Average entree under $10)
3723 S. Peoria Ave.
Tulsa (Brookside)

The only thing better than a New York-style bagel is a bagel sandwich. Old School Bagel Cafe makes tasty breakfast and lunch sandwiches. You can’t go wrong eating here. The staff is friendly, the bagels fresh. While most bagel shops have abandoned the all-important boiling process, Old School Bagel still does things the old school way. The process begins at the bagel shop around 3 a.m., when thousands of bagels are boiled and then baked before opening the store. Breakfast sandwiches include PB&J, eggs, ham, lox, Nutella and more. Many tell us they love the Q’s Pikes Peak — chicken, bacon, Swiss, ranch, lettuce, tomato and onion, but you can pick from several other choices or build your own sandwich. The classic egg and bagel sandwiches are also great, but if you’re bolder, you might try the Wasabi Bomb (wasabi cream cheese, cucumber, tomato, onion and lox).
